In short
The Stripe integration puts a payment link on the invoices Flixer Pro sends. Your customer pays the way they are used to, and Flixer Pro marks the invoice paid as soon as Stripe confirms the payment. Refunds, failed payments and chargebacks are visible in Flixer Pro too. The Stripe account belongs to your own company: you sign up inside Flixer Pro, in about ten minutes, and Stripe pays out to your own business account.
What moves, and which way
Unlike the accounting integrations, this one runs both ways. Flixer Pro requests the payment, Stripe reports what happens to it.
-
The payment link on your invoice
Flixer Pro → Stripe
When the invoice goes out, Flixer Pro creates a payment at Stripe and puts the link in the invoice email. Your customer never has to copy an account number.
-
The payment status
Stripe → Flixer Pro
As soon as Stripe confirms the payment, Flixer Pro marks the invoice paid. That happens on its own, whether or not you are logged in at the time.
-
Refunds
Flixer Pro → Stripe
You start a refund from the invoice in Flixer Pro. Stripe carries it out and the invoice is updated.
-
Failed payments and chargebacks
Stripe → Flixer Pro
If a payment fails or a customer charges back, you see it on the invoice in Flixer Pro. No separate mailbox or dashboard to keep an eye on.
-
The payout
Stripe → your bank account
Stripe pays out to the business account you provide during sign-up, on Stripe's own payout schedule. The money does not pass through Flixer Pro.
When the sync runs
When the invoice goes out, and after that whenever something happens to the payment. Nothing to refresh and nothing to tick: if your customer pays at eleven at night, the invoice is already marked paid by morning. Your payments and payouts are visible in your own Stripe dashboard as well.
How to connect Stripe
Signing up takes about ten minutes. Only owners and admins of your Flixer Pro workspace can do this.
-
Open Settings, Integrations
Sign in to Flixer Pro and go to Settings, then Integrations. Click Connect on Stripe.
-
Fill in your company details
You complete Stripe's sign-up form inside Flixer Pro: company details and chamber of commerce number, the business account you want to be paid into, an identity document and the details of the ultimate beneficial owners.
-
Wait for Stripe's check
Stripe reviews the details, usually a matter of minutes. If Stripe needs anything else, you see it in Flixer Pro.
-
Turn the payment link on
Once your account is approved, Flixer Pro puts a payment link in the invoice email from the next invoice onwards.
What you need
-
Your company details and registration number
Stripe is required to verify who it does business with, so signing up asks for your details as registered with the chamber of commerce.
-
A business bank account
This is where Stripe pays out. It belongs to the same company as the Stripe account.
-
Identity document and UBO details
A valid identity document for the authorised signatory and the details of the ultimate beneficial owners. Without that check Stripe is not allowed to process payments for you.
-
Owner or admin in Flixer Pro
Only owners and admins can set up or change the integration.
